Project title: “Sustainable employment creation and human resources development at “Elnet Bulgaria” AD”

Summary:

In February 2008 was signed a Grand Contract between the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and “Elnet Bulgaria” AD for Programme PHARE 2005 BG 2005/017-353.10.01 Human Resources Development and Promotion of Employment. Project title is “Sustainable employment creation and human resource development at “Elnet Bulgaria” AD”.

On 01 June 2008 an activity under the project has started.

Budget: 123 465 Euro (PHARE-75 %; National co-financing- 25 %)
Partners: VET Centre at Institute for Welding AD

Overall objective of current project is: To ensure sustainable employment perspectives for unemployed people as well as to raise the company employees’ skills and competences in order to improve the adaptability of the labour force in respect to the local market demands and EU social cohesion policies.

Elnet Bulgaria AD will ensure access to vocational training for 17 unemployed. After the qualification the 10 of the newly employed will start working on the positions of the re-qualified employees in the company.

Project title: “Investments in new machines and quality management system certification in “Elnet Bulgaria” AD”

Summary:

The present project envisages a combination of investments in new production equipment, and consulting services for introduction and for certification of a Quality management System under ISO 9001:2000 in Elnet Bulgaria AD.

Elnet Bulgaria AD was certified of a QMS ISO 9001:2000 in January 2008.
Project duration: 20 months

Status: on-going
Budget: 76 960 Euro (PHARE - 65%; Co-financing: 35%)

The project is expected to be finished in July 2009.
